Seven Ninja Swordsmen of The Mist: Kushimaru Kuriarare

Kushimaru Kuriarare was a Kirigakure jōnin and a member of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist.

Background

In the anime, Kushimaru did many cruel things in his life, like killing his teacher. Once, he met some young shinobi named Might Guy, Ebisu, and Genma Shiranui while they were on a mission with other members of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist. The young shinobi were able to escape because Might Duy arrived just in time and gave his life to protect them. In the anime, Kushimaru was eventually killed by Might Duy's brave actions.

Personality

In the anime, Kushimaru was a cruel and sadistic character who enjoyed killing people, especially shinobi. He even crucified numerous individuals and took pleasure in his gruesome acts. He didn't hesitate to kill his own teacher and had a tendency to laugh manically. Kushimaru was fiercely protective of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist and didn't tolerate anyone outside the group wielding their swords. He was determined to take back the Kubikiribōchō from Kakashi and often got into arguments with Jinpachi Munashi. Due to their shared cruelty, Kakashi gave them the nickname "Heartless Pair."

Abilities

Kushimaru, a member of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist, was considered one of the strongest shinobi ever produced by the village of Kiri. His generation of swordsmen was known to be the most powerful in the history of the village. Kushimaru had exceptional skills, including the ability to use the Silent Killing technique, which he demonstrated while battling the Third Division in the midst of a misty environment.

Kenjutsu

Kushimaru used a special longsword called Nuibari, which had a unique ability. With this sword, he could skillfully stab multiple enemies quickly and even sew them together using a long wire attached to the blade. This showcased his impressive agility and precision while handling this needle-like weapon, as he could swiftly catch it after piercing his foes. In the anime, he was shown using senbon (small needles) and setting traps by hiding his wire strings underground to create a complex structure that would cut off his opponent's feet. He also had a technique that would cause slow and painful death to his enemies.
