Seven Ninja Swordsmen of The Mist: Juzo Biwa

Jūzō Biwa was a skilled ninja from Kirigakure and part of a group called the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist. Later on, he left his village and joined Akatsuki, a dangerous organization. In Akatsuki, he teamed up with Itachi Uchiha.

Background

Jūzō Biwa, a member of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist, was known for his brutal battles using the Kubikiribōchō, a powerful weapon that soaked battlefields in the blood of his enemies. After encountering a team from Konoha, they were saved by Might Duy's sacrifice. In the anime, Jūzō survived the encounter and later joined Akatsuki. He was assigned to partner with Itachi Uchiha and they completed missions together. During a mission in the Land of Water, they were attacked by Yagura, the Fourth Mizukage. Jūzō tried to defend himself but was fatally injured. Itachi defeated Yagura and, as a sign of respect, placed Jūzō's broken sword in his hand before he died. The sword returned to Kirigakure after his death.

Personality

Jūzō was notorious for his extreme brutality in battles. In the anime, he displayed a more laid-back and humorous side when not engaged in combat. He patiently mentored new members of Akatsuki, teaching them how the organization operates. He was fiercely loyal to Akatsuki and followed Pain's orders without hesitation. During missions, he was meticulous and careful, seeking optimal combat outcomes through coordination with his partner. Jūzō despised his former village, refusing missions in the Land of Water. He led a solitary life and prioritized his beloved sword over any personal connections, as he chose not to share any final words with Itachi before his death. Despite this, he displayed some concern for Itachi's well-being, urging him to escape before enemy reinforcements arrived. Jūzō even offered to kill Itachi if he were ever captured by Konoha, expecting the same in return if he faced capture by Kirigakure.

Jūzō was a formidable shinobi from Kirigakure, recognized as one of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist. He possessed exceptional combat skills and was a master of kenjutsu, particularly with his weapon, the Kubikiribōchō. This fearsome blade, capable of regenerating using the iron from its victims' blood, allowed Jūzō to paint battlefields red and gain a notorious reputation worldwide. In the anime, he demonstrated his resilience by surviving Duy's Eight Gates Released Formation, which led to his recruitment into Akatsuki, a group known for capturing jinchūriki. Additionally, Jūzō exhibited impressive strength and stamina, effortlessly carrying and wielding the Kubikiribōchō for extended periods. He was also skilled in Water Release techniques, able to create water clones and generate thick mist to obscure his surroundings.
