Seven Ninja Swordsmen of The Mist: Raiga Kurosuki

Raiga Kurosuki, also known as the Thunder of the Hidden Mist, was a skilled ninja from Kirigakure and a member of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist. He was once part of the village's Anbu before leaving and becoming a crime boss with his partner, Ranmaru, leading the Kurosuki Family.

Background

Raiga was a member of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist and fought in the Third Shinobi World War. He wielded the Thunderswords called Kiba. Later on, Raiga and his fellow swordsmen encountered Might Guy, Ebisu, and Genma Shiranui during a mission. The shinobi managed to escape until they were trapped, but Might Duy arrived in time to save them by sacrificing himself using a powerful technique. In the anime, four of Raiga's allies were killed during this encounter. Raiga was also the father of Buntan, although he was unaware of it, and her mother disliked him. In the anime, Raiga served as an Anbu in Kirigakure, where he met a disabled boy named Ranmaru. They formed a partnership, with Ranmaru acting as Raiga's helper in exchange for protection. After leaving the village, Raiga settled in the Land of Rivers and formed the Kurosuki Family, a gang of criminals. They took control of the village of Katabami Gold Mine, ruling with cruelty and sentencing those who disobeyed them to be buried alive.

Personality

Raiga was a troubled and cruel person during his time in Kirigakure. He didn't have a clear purpose and would kill people indiscriminately during his missions, which made him feel sorrow deep inside. However, everything changed when he met Ranmaru and left the village. Raiga devoted himself to protecting and caring for Ranmaru, while Ranmaru became his eyes and ears, enabling him to experience the world in a way he couldn't alone. This brought meaning to their lives. Raiga had a strange fascination with funerals and would often punish his victims by burying them alive. He believed that people had a better opinion of others when they were dead. He also had a strong dislike for Zabuza, Kisame, and the other members of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist, although the reasons for this were unknown.

Raiga, who was once part of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist and also held the rank of Anbu, is considered one of the strongest shinobi ever produced by Kirigakure.

Ninjutsu

Kenjutsu

Raiga wielded lightning-infused swords called Kiba, which were incredibly sharp and could cut through anything. He used them skillfully, even defending against Lee's attacks. Raiga could combine the swords to form a larger weapon and perform various powerful techniques. With his lightning abilities, he could use long-range attacks and defense faster and more easily than normal. He could summon natural lightning strikes and even use them as a power source, allowing him to fight continuously without getting tired. Raiga's lightning strikes were immensely powerful, defeating Neji and Naruto with a single strike. He had exceptional control over natural lightning, being able to summon it without any physical movement and cover a wide area for defense. In desperate situations, Raiga could use natural lightning to completely destroy his own body.

Nature Transformation

Raiga possesses Lightning Release abilities and can use them effectively even without his swords. For example, he caused a Rock Avalanche to bury his enemies. He is also skilled in Water Release and can create a dense mist to blind his targets, making them more susceptible to his attacks.
