Ōnoki, also known as "Ōnoki of Both Scales", was a famous leader in the village of Iwagakure. He held the title of the Third Tsuchikage, which means he was the third leader of the village.
Background
As a teenager, Ōnoki was given the task of cleaning his village's Stone Monument. While doing so, his grandfather, the First Tsuchikage, came and spoke with him. Ōnoki didn't think much of the stone and believed his grandfather was just an old man. However, his grandfather explained that the stone symbolized the unwavering determination of the village's shinobi. He told Ōnoki that he possessed the same strong will but would lose it if he didn't face challenges with determination. Ōnoki learned Dust Release techniques from his mentor, the Second Tsuchikage, and fought against Madara Uchiha. He became the Tsuchikage and experienced the hardships of the Third Shinobi World War. He considered accepting a peace treaty from Konohagakure to end the bloodshed, despite opposition from the Iwa council. Ōnoki had encounters with Deidara and hired Akatsuki for their services. He also had a history with the Fourth Raikage. When invited to a joint Chūnin Exams by Konohagakure and Sunagakure, Ōnoki declined, thinking it was a ploy to assess Iwagakure's strength for a future fight.Personality
Ōnoki was a proud and stubborn individual who refused to retire as Tsuchikage, despite his old age. He lacked respect for younger leaders like Gaara and verbally attacked them. However, after witnessing Gaara's wisdom and Naruto's friendship, Ōnoki realized his mistakes and regained a sense of himself. He had a dislike for art, possibly because he ridiculed Deidara's artwork. During the Fourth Shinobi World War, Ōnoki showed determination and inspired others to face the powerful enemy, Madara. In his retirement, he adopted a laidback attitude but became disillusioned with the world and resorted to unethical methods in his quest for peace. However, he later regretted his actions and aimed to make amends for his mistakes.Abilities
Ōnoki, the Third Tsuchikage, was one of the strongest shinobi from Iwagakure. Despite being over 80 years old and dealing with health issues, he led his village with confidence and was highly respected by the people. He remained formidable in battle, facing powerful opponents and even being considered a legendary shinobi. Madara recognized him as the main threat among the Allied Shinobi Forces. Despite his advancing age, he continued to showcase his quick thinking and skills. However, as he reached over 100 years old, he had to retire and rely on a wheelchair. His age made him more prone to exhaustion, requiring extra sleep and causing him to occasionally pass out. Nevertheless, his mental acuity and abilities remained sharp.Ninjutsu
Nature Transformation
Ōnoki possessed a diverse range of elemental abilities, including Earth, Fire, Wind, Lightning, and Yang Release. By combining Earth and Fire, he could use Lava Release, while combining Earth, Fire, and Wind allowed him to utilize Dust Release. His Dust Release technique was incredibly powerful, capable of pulverizing targets into dust, destroying entire islands and massive forests with a single blast. He could manipulate the size and shape of his Dust Release, even using it to defend against meteor showers. Ōnoki also demonstrated great skill in Earth Release, creating rock clones, massive golems, and manipulating the terrain. He could control gravity, increasing or decreasing the weight of objects and even himself, allowing him to restrict movements or fly. Additionally, he could enhance his striking power by covering his fist in rock and increase its weight to penetrate strong defenses, including chakra-based substances like Susanoo.
