Kage: Chojuro The Sixth Mizukage

Chōjūrō is a member of the group called the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist in the village of Kirigakure. He starts off as a loyal assistant to the Fifth Mizukage and eventually becomes the Sixth Mizukage, the leader of the village.

Background

In the anime, after the Fourth Mizukage died and Mei Terumī became the Fifth Mizukage, Chōjūrō was there when the village got invited to participate in an unexpected Chūnin Exams organized by Konohagakure and Sunagakure. However, because Kirigakure was still healing from the Fourth's death, it was decided that the Kiri-nin wouldn't participate in the exams.

Personality

Although Chōjūrō is a member of the prestigious Seven Swordsmen group, he is shy and lacks confidence in his abilities. He greatly admires the Fifth Mizukage and wants to protect her smile. During the Fourth Shinobi World War, he becomes more confident and shows his determination to defend his village, cutting down enemies without hesitation. After becoming the Sixth Mizukage, Chōjūrō grows into his leadership role, appearing calm and confident. He is patient and thoughtful in his decision-making, but still has some doubts, especially when dealing with citizens who prefer the old traditions. Despite his doubts, he remains selfless and is willing to sacrifice himself for the success of his goals. Even in times of grief, he prioritizes the lives of his allies and seeks peaceful resolutions, while also preparing for potential conflicts.

Abilities

Despite his timid nature, Chōjūrō is a highly skilled ninja who earned his place among the esteemed Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist and served as one of the Fifth Mizukage's bodyguards. His membership in the elite group already indicated his exceptional abilities and potential. During the Fourth Shinobi World War, he showcased his prowess by defeating the formidable Black Zetsu alongside his allies. Over the years, Chōjūrō's skills improved significantly, leading to his promotion as the Sixth Mizukage. He demonstrated his prowess by defeating multiple opponents wielding the Seven Mist Swords and holding his own against powerful adversaries like the Ōtsutsuki Clan while cooperating with the Fifth Kazekage and the Fourth Tsuchikage.

Kenjutsu & Physical Prowess

Chōjūrō is highly regarded as a master swordsman, even among the other Seven Mist Swordsmen. He is rumored to be the best swordsman and assassin among the Five Kage. His weapon of choice is the dual-handled sword called Hiramekarei, which can unleash stored chakra to create powerful weapons like a huge hammer and a massive longsword. As the Mizukage, he can also fire long-ranged chakra blades and create copies of Hiramekarei for dual wielding. His kenjutsu skills allowed him to fight on par with Kinshiki Ōtsutsuki, and he is considered unmatched while wielding Hiramekarei. Even without his special sword, Chōjūrō displayed great resilience and strength, easily overpowering foes armed with signature weapons using only a broken sword and demonstrating impressive feats like holding up Kubikiribōchō with a single hand.

In the anime, Chōjūrō is exceptionally talented in Water Release techniques. He can perform these techniques without using many hand signs and doesn't rely on pre-existing water sources. If he doesn't have a physical sword, he can create a water blade as a substitute. He is also capable of surprising his opponents by unleashing a powerful surge of water from underground to catch them off guard and immobilize them. Additionally, Chōjūrō can unleash a rapid barrage of water bullets to attack his enemies.
