Kage: Hashirama Senju The First Hokage

Hashirama Senju, a member of the Senju clan, was highly regarded as the "God of Shinobi" due to his exceptional skills as a ninja. He aimed to bring peace to the shinobi world and established Konohagakure alongside his clan, his childhood friend and rival Madara Uchiha, and the Uchiha clan. Eventually, he became the first leader of Konohagakure known as the First Hokage. Although he couldn't achieve peace during his lifetime, his ideas and influence continued to shape the village and the entire shinobi world long after his passing.

Background

Hashirama Senju, the eldest son of Butsuma Senju, grew up in a time of war between the Senju and Uchiha clans. Despite the constant battles, Hashirama befriended Madara, an Uchiha, and they dreamed of a world where children wouldn't have to fight. However, their friendship was challenged as they became leaders of their clans. Hashirama, with his superior abilities, tried to convince Madara to unite their clans, but Madara's brother's death led him to reject the idea. Hashirama defeated Madara in battle but spared his life. Eventually, they joined forces to establish a village called Konohagakure, where children would be safe from war. Hashirama became the first Hokage, and although he faced challenges, he worked towards peace. However, conflicts continued, and Hashirama died without seeing his vision fully realized. He entrusted the title of Hokage to Tobirama and urged him to treat the Uchiha clan with fairness.

Personality

Hashirama was a lively and enthusiastic man who loved meeting new people, competing, and gambling. He could be impulsive, and his brother Tobirama had to keep him in check. However, Hashirama was serious about important matters. He strongly opposed sending children to war and wanted a peaceful shinobi system. He cared deeply for Konoha and wanted everyone to treat each other like family. As Hokage, his duty was to protect the village, even if it meant sacrificing himself. Hashirama believed in the "Will of Fire," which meant putting the village first and breaking down clan rivalries. He trusted others and believed in finding non-violent solutions. He had a close friendship with Madara Uchiha, and even though they became enemies, Hashirama still cared for him. He respected Madara's opinions but had to stop him from harming Konoha. In the end, he reluctantly killed Madara to protect their shared vision.

Abilities

Hashirama was known as the strongest shinobi of his time and one of the strongest in history, earning the title of "God of Shinobi." Even Madara, another legendary shinobi with powerful abilities, acknowledged his inferiority to Hashirama. Hashirama possessed unique powers that allowed him to single-handedly subdue and capture eight of the nine tailed beasts. During the Fourth Shinobi World War, Kabuto recognized Hashirama's immense strength and compared him to the legendary Sage of Six Paths, stating that nobody, except for Madara, had come close to matching him since his passing.

Chakra and Physical Prowess

As a member of the Senju clan and a reincarnation of Asura Ōtsutsuki, Hashirama had strong life-force and physical energy. His chakra was incredibly powerful, creating visible shockwaves when released. During the Fourth Shinobi World War, he acknowledged Naruto's chakra distribution as almost equal to his own. Hashirama could perform complex techniques with few or no hand seals and create multiple wood clones while maintaining a protective barrier. His stamina allowed him to fight for long periods without getting tired, and he resisted control by the Impure World Reincarnation technique. His body had great regenerative abilities, healing most injuries without leaving lasting effects, similar to Tsunade and Naruto's healing powers.

Ninjutsu

As a member of the Senju clan, Hashirama possessed a wide range of shinobi abilities. He had the power to summon multiple Rashōmon gates for defense against various attacks. He was skilled in barrier ninjutsu, capable of subduing the powerful Ten-Tails. Hashirama displayed exceptional proficiency in medical ninjutsu, healing wounds without the need for hand seals. His expertise in fūinjutsu allowed him to store different weapons for battle, and he demonstrated versatile skills in bukijutsu, matching Madara in combat. Additionally, in the anime, he could break free from Madara's control over the Nine-Tails.

Nature Transformation

Hashirama was skilled in various types of chakra manipulation, including Wood Release, which combined earth and water chakra to create wood and plants. His Wood Release abilities were unparalleled, surpassing any attempts to replicate them. He could reshape the landscape, create lifelike wood clones, and use ingenious tactics such as pollen-induced unconsciousness and protective structures against powerful attacks. With precision and dexterity, he could launch weapons from afar. Hashirama's Wood Release also allowed him to control tailed beasts, using a technique to put them to sleep and maintaining control over multiple beasts simultaneously. His exceptional abilities in controlling wood and tailed beasts earned him great fame.

Senjutsu

Hashirama had a special ability called Sage Mode, which allowed him to tap into powerful natural energy. When he entered Sage Mode, he gained red markings on his face and forehead. He could use his wood techniques to move around in battle while staying still to absorb more natural energy. In Sage Mode, his Wood Release became even stronger, and he could create massive structures and use powerful seals to control and bind even large targets like the Ten-Tails. One of his most impressive techniques was the Sage Art Wood Release: True Several Thousand Hands, which allowed him to unleash a barrage of powerful punches and was responsible for creating the Valley of the End.

Other Skills

Hashirama was really good at fighting without using any weapons. He was as skilled as experts like Madara and Hiruzen in hand-to-hand combat. He could also use genjutsu to trap his enemies in darkness. He was really fast too, even faster than the Nine-Tails, which helped him during his fight with Madara. He was able to lead the battle to the shoreline because of his speed.
