Earth Grudge Fear

The Earth Grudge Fear is a secret technique used by Takigakure. It turns the user's body into a rag-doll-like form, held together by thick black threads. Kakuzu, who learned this technique and later left Takigakure, could manipulate these threads for various purposes. He could sew up injuries and reattach body parts, even nerves and muscles, allowing instant movement. He could also detach and manipulate his limbs, even sending them underground and reattaching them later. The threads granted Kakuzu a form of immortality as he could integrate still functioning organs from victims into his own body, extending his life. He stored spare hearts in animal masks sewn onto his back, which granted him chakra and elemental affinities. These masks could attack independently, releasing powerful blasts of elemental chakra. Kakuzu could combine their attacks by forming a spider-like body around himself. Each mask contained a spare heart, and when he used a heart, the corresponding mask would shatter. The masks had different affinities: fire, lightning, water, and wind, each with unique abilities.

Lightning Release: False Darkness (B)

The user shoots a lightning spear from their mouth that can pierce through enemies and even rocks, causing a lot of damage. They can create multiple spears to attack multiple enemies, and the lightning is very fast, making it hard to avoid. They can also concentrate the lightning into a straight beam like a laser. Kakuzu can perform this technique using his lightning mask.

Fire Release: Intelligent Hard Work (B)

Kakuzu's fire mask shoots a small fireball that turns into a huge fire-storm when it hits something, causing a lot of destruction. It's hard to avoid because the flames spread across a wide area on the ground. When used together with Wind Release: Pressure Damage, this technique becomes even more powerful and can instantly evaporate a large amount of water.

Wind Release: Pressure Damage (B)

Kakuzu's wind mask unleashes a strong wind technique. The mask compresses the wind into a dense tornado-like mass before releasing it. The blast covers a wide area, causing huge damage to the target and the surrounding area. When combined with the Fire Release: Intelligent Hard Work, the technique becomes even more powerful, creating a massive fire-storm.

Strange Mask Exploding Flame

When Kakuzu merges his fire and wind masks, either by himself or separately, they combine their fire and wind attacks to create a strong blast of intense fire. Kakashi noticed that water alone was not sufficient to extinguish it. It required a water technique enhanced by wind to completely counter the attack.

Earth Release: Earth Spear (B)

The user uses earth-based chakra to make their body harder and stronger, like a diamond. This makes them very resistant to most attacks, and they can withstand them without getting hurt. However, lightning-based attacks can still cause damage. It also makes their physical attacks more powerful, so it's a useful technique for both defense and offense.

Water Release: Hiding in Water Technique

This technique lets the user merge with water, even in shallow water like a puddle. By doing this, they can hide and surprise their target with an unexpected attack.
