Kazekage in Naruto Series

The Kazekage is the leader of Sunagakure and holds the title of Village's leader. This position is given to the strongest shinobi in the village. Throughout the village's history, there have been five Kazekage.

Overview

The Kazekage position was established in Suna after the village's formation by Reto. The selection process for the Kazekage is not explicitly mentioned, but it is suggested that it may be hereditary or favor relatives of the Fourth Kazekage. If the current Kazekage dies or goes missing, the Suna Council chooses the next Kazekage. Once in office, the Kazekage typically moves to the Kazekage's Office. Throughout history, the Kazekage have been both feared and respected for their role in maintaining Suna's position among the other villages. However, the Kazekage title is often seen as cursed, as all the Kazekage, including the current one, have met untimely deaths by assassins. The Suna Council manages the village's affairs in the interim between Kazekage, and statues of the former Kazekage are displayed in the council's meeting chambers.

Growing up isolated and filled with hatred, Gaara lived a life of violence and saw no value in others. However, after being defeated by Naruto Uzumaki, who taught him the importance of friendship, Gaara underwent a transformation. Inspired by Naruto, he dedicated himself to protecting the village and its people, eventually becoming the Fifth Kazekage of Suna. Through his leadership, Gaara aimed to dispel the fears and mistrust he once instilled in the hearts of the villagers.
