Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist

The Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist was a group in Kirigakure made up of the best sword-wielding shinobi of their time. They were limited to seven members, and their swords were passed down through generations. These swords were special and believed to have magical properties. Together, the Seven Swordsmen were extremely powerful and were seen as second only to the Mizukage, capable of defeating entire nations.

History

After the Third Shinobi World War, the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist confronted a team from Konoha. They were defeated by Might Duy, except for Fuguki who survived. Over time, the group changed, with Mangetsu Hōzuki joining and mastering all seven swords, while Fuguki was killed and replaced by Kisame Hoshigaki. Members of the group either died or became missing-nin and took their swords with them. By the Fourth Shinobi World War, only one sword remained in Kirigakure's possession. During the war, the strongest generation of the Seven Swordsmen was resurrected to fight for Akatsuki. They were eventually sealed by the Allied Shinobi Forces. In the anime, the remaining swords returned to Kiri, and a new group called the New Seven Ninja Swordsmen emerged, but they were defeated and captured. Some members of this group were later recruited by Yagura to fight against the Funato clan.
