Tailed Beast in Naruto Series

The tailed beasts, also known as "Chakra Monsters," are powerful creatures made of chakra by the Sage of Six Paths. There are nine of them, each with a different number of tails, from one to nine.

History

Centuries ago, the Sage of Six Paths saved the world by sealing the Ten-Tails into himself. He then divided the Ten-Tails' chakra into nine living creatures called tailed beasts. The Sage gave them names and told them that they were connected. Over time, humans saw the tailed beasts as monsters and used them as weapons in war, causing the beasts to resent humans. The villages began sealing the tailed beasts into humans to harness their power. Later, an organization called Akatsuki captured the tailed beasts to revive the Ten-Tails. Naruto Uzumaki, a reincarnation of the Sage's son, fought to free the tailed beasts and gained their trust. Eventually, the tailed beasts were released and went their separate ways.

Abilities

Tailed beasts are often seen as mindless creatures, believed to only possess intelligence when sealed within humans. However, this is not true for the divided tailed beasts. The Ten-Tails, in particular, only exhibits strategic abilities when sealed in a human. Each tailed beast has unique powers but shares common traits such as possessing immense red-colored chakra, being able to transfer their chakra to others, and utilizing the Tailed Beast Ball attack. The tailed beasts cannot permanently die; if they or their human hosts die, their chakra will regenerate over time. If a large portion of a tailed beast's chakra is separated, it becomes a separate, sentient entity. Consuming tailed beast flesh is typically fatal, unless the person is a descendant of the Sage of Six Paths. Tailed beasts can communicate telepathically with each other and their human hosts, and they possess different levels of consciousness. When their chakra is depleted, tailed beasts become unconscious. They can also have multiple consciousnesses or bodies, as shown during the Fourth Great Ninja War when several tailed beasts were present in the real world and held meetings with each other.
