Tsuchikage in Naruto Series
The Tsuchikage is the leader of Iwagakure, known as the Earth Shadow. This title is given to the village's strongest shinobi. Throughout the village's history, there have been four Tsuchikage.
Overview
The Tsuchikage is the leader of Iwagakure, known as the Earth Shadow. The position was created after the village's formation by Ishikawa, the village's founder. The selection process for the Tsuchikage is unclear, but there is a family lineage connection among three of the four Tsuchikage. The Tsuchikage resides in the tallest building in Iwa, symbolizing their authority. The Tsuchikage's leadership has been marked by strict obedience from their shinobi. However, the Second and Third Tsuchikage's unfair tactics and alliances tarnished the reputation of the position and the village. It was during the Fourth Shinobi World War that the negative reputation began to change.
